Scottish Touch begins recruitment drive

Scottish Touch is today taking a massive step forward in its development - by recruiting four important new positions to help the sport to grow.  Are you able to help volunteer?

These are different because they are the first to follow a formal process for recruitment and are based on a new approach that values and rewards volunteers while being realistic about the time they are able to commit.

Scottish Touch's Director of Volunteer Management explain: "We've listened to what the sport needs and to what volunteers want.  Many have asked: how do you help develop the sport you love when you have little time to spare?  It has to be meaningful but not so much that it stops being fun."

"The first step was to put in place policies that protect our volunteers' interests and make sure they would never be out of pocket and always valued.  Then we hadto look at what we could realistically ask people to do so the roles need to be very specific.  There's a massive pool of talent out there but limited time that people can give up."

The first four posts are:

Any questions about the roles should be directed to michael.bottom@scottishtouch.org.uk with the exception of the Fundraising Manager - email volunteers@scottishtouch.org.uk

All applications should be made on the following form and returned to volunteers@scottishtouch.org.uk by 5 December.
