This week has seen various announcements about the lifting of restrictions and future official international Touch events. Scottish Touch is supportive of these announcements and are optimistic that representative events, for both Opens and Seniors, will take place later this year. Subject to Scottish Government guidance, we are hopeful that Scotland will be able to field teams for these events and we are proactively working with all of our partners to ensure that if events go ahead, they take place safely, in a COVID secure manner. 

The STA will be contacting players directly next week to provide a further update and confirm next steps for being involved in preparations for these exciting proposals.

In addition to this, we are exploring opportunities for domestic competition in various formats that could potentially take place later this year. We are excited about the possibility of returning to play soon and will ensure we keep you updated as we know more!
