Scottish Touch Volunteer Call

In order to support the needs of the Scottish Touch community, we’ll be introducing new roles over the next few months.
In the first wave of roles, we’re looking for volunteers who can help in key areas of the organisation which need particular focus in the coming months.
There are a number of roles available, all of which can be done flexibly and will be supported by other volunteers across the organisation.
The following roles are currently available, and could be done jointly if applicants wish:
Director of Coaching
National Squad Treasurer
Membership Coordinator
Kit Coordinator

National Squad Treasurer
Role outline
Support national squad committee to set Euros 2020 budget
Manage national squad bank account
Manage income/outgoings throughout cycle to ensure cash flow
Develop and share cost breakdown for players, coaches and managers
Develop system to allow players to make payments, and monitor payments
Location
Online, with some face to face input at National Squad camps/training
Time commitment
1-2 hours per week.
Increased at peak times (lead up to tournaments).
Membership Coordinator
Role Outline
Manage membership portal
Answer enquiries relating to membership portal
Support members and clubs with using membership tool
Provide lists of registered players to tournament coordinators, as appropriate (ie STS, Nationals) to ensure compliance with membership
Assist Scottish Touch in promoting use of membership tool
Additional optional aspects
Identify improvements to the membership tool
Support Board to develop tool improvements for 2020
Location
Online.
Time commitment
1-2 hours per week between February - September.
Kit Manager
Role outline
Liaise with key partners to establish kit requirements
National Squad
Junior Academy
Referee Director
Volunteer Director
Identify opportunities and brands to provide cost-effective kit and ease of purchase for squads and individuals
Manage procurement for the next 3 year cycle (2020-2022). Implement strategy to develop and sustain kit requirements for coming years (i.e. planned events, tournaments)
Location
Mostly online, some face-to-face at squad sessions may be beneficial.
Time commitment
c.1 hour per week.
Director of Coaching
Role outline
Develop strategy for developing progressing coaching in Scotland aligned to EFT strategy
Link with Regional Coaching Coordinators and European Coaching director to ensure our on strategy is fit for purpose
Work with Regional Coaching Coordinators to determine regional requirements and demands
Work with National Squad Committee to develop a pathway for aspiring National Squad coaches development at national level.
Coordinate coaching development by identifying and supporting coaches, and take lead in organising coaching education and development
Location
Face to face and online links with coaches. Involvement at Scottish Touch Board meetings (can dial in).

c.1-2 hours per week.
