Scottish Calendar announced for 2017

9 Oct 2016 @ 13:00 BST

Scotland will host two international competitions, and our domestic competitions have been scheduled.

EFT (European Federation of Touch) have confirmed this weekend that Scotland will host the inaugural Premiership permit competition. The competition will feature International teams from around Europe, playing as franchise teams. There will be both Womens Open and Mens Open divisions, and it will take place between 6th-9th July 2017. More details about the event will be released in the coming months.

Scotland will also organise, and host a Senior International competition in 2017. The event, Senior Touch Championships, will take place between 15th-18th June 2017. The focus of teams entering this competition will be to develop sides for the European Championships in 2018. The event will affiliated to EFT/FIT, but will not be a capped event. Any European countries who have not received the invite, can contact info@scottishtouch.org.uk.

To successfully run these two tournaments, Scottish Touch will be setting up an events team. Anyone who is interested in joining the team can register interest by e-mailing michael.bottom@scottishtouch.org.uk.

We are also announcing our domestic tournament dates, to aid teams, players and referees planning their year. More details on the tender process for the Scottish Touch Series will be released at the end of October.
