Scottish Touch have reviewed and revised the Disciplinary Guidance. Ian Willis has been appointed National Disciplinary Officer and each regional has appointed Regional Disciplinary officers:

Central – Phil Leeks
Glasgow – Kate Fleming
Edinburgh – Peter Faassen de Heer
North East – Dave Stone

All organisers of STA affiliated competitions, referees and all participants should familiarise themselves with the guidance, their rights and responsibilities. The policy has been around for some time and there are no major changes to it. The policy is designed to protect all participants at touch events and allow them to participate in a safe environment. It is not envisaged there will be an increase in the instances where disciplinary action is taken.

Ian Willis commented that "Touch enjoys a reputation of fairness and respect to and from all in the sport. The revised policy is an important tool to ensure this ethos continues. It is hoped that instances where disciplinary action is taken will remain rare, however it is essential to have procedures in place so any action taken is swiftly concluded in a fair, structured and consistent manner."
