Scottish Touch Youth Coaching Opportunities

Could you be part of the expanded Youth Touch set up?

Scottish Touch is today advertising two posts in an expanded Youth Touch set-up in preparation for the 2015 European Under-18 Touch Championships.

Earlier this year at the 2014 championships in Swansea, our under 18s mixed Touch team won bronze by beating Ireland in a nailbiting playoff.  Many of the players involved then have become inspired to enter the sport at the open level, providing a lasting legacy for Touch in Scotland.

Scottish Touch is therefore investing additional resources for the 2015 event (the venue has yet to be deteremined), setting up a Youth Academy that will include two teams - a mixed and a boys side.  We are looking for a suitably qualified individual to run the academy and coach one of these teams and an additional Youth Coach to develop the other side.  Youth Touch is a key part of our development and the successful applicant can rely on coaching, refereeing and material resources to support their programme.

A job description for both posts can be found here.  Application forms should be completed and returned to the Director of Volunteers at volunteers@scottishtouch.org.uk by 3 December.
