Latest news on the 2015 Touch World Cup Squads

news/mikey coaching.jpgWorld Cup 2015 preparation began as Scottish Touch held a Women’s Touch High Performance Weekend on 8/9 November 2014. The two day event was held at Peffermill Sports Fields, the venue of the last Touch World Cup in 2011, and included over 35 attendees.  Fitness testing, skills drills, strategy sessions and pattern recognition challenges tested the players before games finished off a weekend amounting to almost 10 hours of training.


news/group pic.jpgA combination of new faces and returning players ensured that the weekend was of a high standard with fresh talent being showcased for both the Women’s Open and Women’s Over 27s squads ahead of the biggest tournament in the sport. 

Afterwards, Women’s Open coaches Mikey Short and Eddie Sanjuan, together with Women’s 27s coaches Cameron Day and David Bartlett, finalised the Initial Squads ahead of the final selection camp in December.  These are detailed below.
