Scottish Touch Series - Tender Applications Open

12 Feb 2014 @ 10:00 GMT

Closing date for applications - 18th February

The Scottish Touch Association is inviting tender applications for the Scottish Touch Series 2014.

Applications close on the 18th of February and anyone considering hosting one of the four tournaments is being urged to do so.

Last year was the first to use the STS Permit System, which was set up to allow anyone to be considered to host an STS event.

Applications for each leg – traditionally in Stirling, Edinburgh, Glasgow and the north east of Scotland – will be considered on a number of standards, outlined in the new Application Scoring Guide.

There's also room for applications from outside of those four regions.

Scottish Touch Director of High Performance Mikey Short said: “The Scottish Touch Series Tender process is open for 2014.

"With an improved Application Form and new Application Scoring Guides, the Scottish Touch Association continues to strive for a fair and open process for raising the standards of the flagship tournaments of the Touch calendar in Scotland.”

Applications close on the 18th of February, and can be submitted through the STS website.

Applications will then be considered by members of the Permitted Competitions Committee, with a decision expected around the 25th of February.
