"The 17 man squad for the Touch World Cup has been picked from the most competitive training squad we have had - with 14 new to this squad, and, ages ranging 18-34, it was tough to pick the right people to make the best team.
Two tough training weekends looked at players' abilities in handling, reading defenders, running lines, defending and finishing.
In this, we saw a reflection of touch being played at a higher level across club and regional sides in Scotland, meaning the skill level was already higher than in previous years.
"I am now looking forward to unlocking the potential we have in this team over the coming training weekends, and our plan is to go and compete at the Touch World Cup as the strongest Men's Open squad we have had." - Men's Open Coach Monica Wallace

"Over the last three years, during my tenure as coach, I've seen the Women's 27's squad grow from strength to strength.
This year's selection brings us a group of girls with experience, fitness and a collective attitude to be the best team they can be.
It's going to be hard five months as we prepare for the World Cup, but this is a challenge every player in the squad is looking forward to - the tournament starts now!" - Women's 27's Coach Cameron Day
