Yarrow Cup Opens Scottish Euros Quest for Silverware

The fixtures for the European Championships in Swansea will tap off with a bang as Scotland's Men's 40s team face England in Round One - competing for the Yarrow Cup.
This will be the third match for the trophy, commissioned by the Yarrow family to commemorate the late Simon Yarrow.
Simon played many times for Scotland at the highest of levels and brought many players into the sport.
After moving to England, Simon coached the England Men's 40s team laying the foundation for much of their success in recent years.

England were victorious on the first two occasions and will be challenging opponents again on this occasion.

M40 Player-Coach Martin Macari is hoping it will be third time lucky for the Scots: "This is the strongest M40 side we have put together.
"A combination of skilful players allied to excellent preparation means that the team has taken a big step up from last year."

"England will be tough but if we play our game, the trophy's there for the taking and for the squad I can't think of a better way to start the tournament than to bring the Yarrow Cup back to the Scotland tent."

The teams will play meet in the pool stage of the European Championships on August 7th, tapping off at 11:30.
