Touch pioneer passes away.

It is with the greatest sadness that Scottish Touch has to report the passing of Dennis Coffey, peacefully last night(13th Sept) in his sleep.

Dennis (or DC as most of us knew him) was a pioneer for the sport of Touch and for us especially its development in Europe and Scotland. DC racked up thousands of miles in pursuit of coaching and supporting individuals, clubs and national associations, not least Scottish Touch.  His legacy is a vibrant Touch community with dozens of countries playing the sport at social and elite levels.

Scottish Touch worked closely with DC at the 2011 Touch World Cup where he was instrumental in making it the most successful world cup ever and the largest in the sport's history.  DC's professionalism, dedication to detail and love for the sport shone through.

Our thoughts and sympathies at this time are with his wife Carol, family and close friends.
