As a limited company the STA gains greater financial security, opens the way for STA to employ staff and provides tax benefits.  The STA now also has the rights to the 'Scottish Touch Association' company name.

STA President, Peter Faassen de Heer commented: "This is a massive achievement for us.  We had to overcome several technical and legal issues to get there.  In addition, we had to prove that we are 'pre-eminent' in the delivery of Touch in Scotland.  With the thumbs up from Companies House this now paves the way for us to apply for charitable status - that will make it much easier for us to raise funds."
