Edinburgh Make it Four in a Row

Edinburgh retained their status as National Champions in both the Mens and Womens leagues with both sides remaining undefeated for a fourth year running.

The men ran in a staggering 45 touchdowns, a dozen by top scorer Brad Kirby. Meanwhile, the women were equally as impressive on the defensive side of the game, letting in only 3 scores in their 4 matches, a new Championship record.

Elsewhere, Stirling maintained their runner up place for second succesive year in the Mens competition, with their 5-3 win over Glasgow being a crucial factor. In the womens competition, Aberdeen needed a draw to record their best ever showing with a second place and they got it thanks to scores from Audrey Philpott, Senga Derrick, Sarah McElroy and Monica Coyle for a 4-4 draw.

Cam McDonald from Edinburgh's B team scooped up the Mens MVP after a series of impressive performances while Aberdeen's Monica Coyle was voted Women's MVP.

Beth Smith was awarded Referee of the Tournament for her performances on the day and work in the run up to the event.
