Stirling University Touch Inaugural Tournament 2014

Airthrey Grass Pitches, University of Stirling, FK9 4LA

The Inaugrual Stirling University Touch Tournament, open to all Mixed Open teams and taking place on the Sports Pitches at Stirling University.

Cost

Team entry is £80.

(Please note that payment will be made by cash on the day or by cheque made payable to “University of Stirling Students’ Union”.)

Team Registration

You can download the Team Registration Form here. Please complete and return this electronically by email to stirunitouch@gmail.com to confirm your place. Each team can register up to a maximum of 14 players. The tournament will be played to FIT rules and is only open to Mixed teams, with a minimum of 3 female players on the pitch at one time during normal play. Players will only be eligible to play for one team.

Closing date for all entries will be Monday 21st of April 2014.

Further Information

Once all entries have been received and closing date has passed we will issue a Tournament Information Pack to all team captains. This will provide more detailed information on tournament format, rules, player registration, insurance policy and anything special we have planned for the day.

Food, Drink and Trophy Presentation

Food will be provided on the day by either a BBQ on site and/or post-tournament reception at the University of Stirling’s Students’ Union. The Students’ Union (a five-minute walk from the Grass Pitches) will also be open throughout the day for those who wish between-match refreshments. After the final game of the tournament has been played, teams are invited to the Students’ Union for the trophy presentations.

Glasgow Lions Beginners Tournament

West of Scotland Rugby Club, Burnbrae, Glasgow Road, Milngavie, Glasgow, East Dunbartonshire G62 6AQ‎

The Glasgow Lions are now inviting entries for the Beginners one day touch tournament to be held on Saturday 10th May 2014 at West of Scotland Rugby Club.

This tournament is open to all players 18 yrs and older with less than 2 years experience. A minimum number of players with further experience will be permitted to play to help teach and direct on the day.

Entry fees are £60 per team and the deadline for all entries is Wednesday 7th May 2014.

Edinburgh 7s Festival - Touch Tournament

Returning for a second year, and billed as a Multi-Sport Festival, the Edinburgh 7s Festival is back with sports tournaments including beach volleyball and fancy dress dodgeball! Music, massage tents and lots of entertainment on offer for all.
