Phase 3 (3) Guidance - STA statement - 22 August 2020

Scottish Touch issued an updated guidance document on 05 November, please refer to the statement for up to date information.

Further to the First Ministers statement on 20 August, the STA Board has been working with partners including Regional Associations to review our Return to Play approach.

Following a review of guidance for the sport sector issued by SportScotland and Scottish Government, there are a number of areas where we believe we can advance our safe approach to return to play. The key highlights of this revised guidance are;

  • Organised contact training for a maximum of 1 hour per session
  • No physical distancing within an allocated field of play area
  • Maximum of 15 people from unlimited households in a bubble
  • A coach can train a maximum of 30 people per day

The Board have provided an extended guidance document that is available below.  The guidance document provides further detail, inline with SportScotland Guidance, on how clubs should return to training in the safest possible way.

We hope clubs, teams and players enjoy being back training within the guidance.  We would welcome feedback from those who do train by emailing covid19@scottishtouch.org.uk.

Stay safe.
