Phase 2 guidance - STA statement - 18 June 2020

Statement has been superseded by move to Phase 3, please refer to Phase 3 statement for updated guidance.

Following the First Minister’s COVID-19 announcement on 18 June, members of our Board and representatives from the Regions met to discuss the implications for Touch.

Our view is that there are limited changes that impact returning to training and playing. We would ask that everyone continues to follows Scottish Government guidelines at Gov.Scot.

As a reminder, key points relevant to Touch include;

  • Maintain social distancing of 2 metres at all times
  • No sharing of equipment. This includes balls, so no passing.
  • Training groups of up to 8 people from no more than 3 households
  • No indoor training
  • Travel no more than 5 miles for training

Our priority is the safety of our communities across Scotland. We really appreciate your patience.

The Board and Regions will continue to plan for our return to training and playing. We will share developments and please get in touch if you have any questions.
